About ZebrA Connect Founder ROGER WILLIAMSON

Born and raised in South Africa, Roger adored the many different aspects of South African culture and life.  Roger worked in fashion, interiors and hospitality and his creative flair won him many contracts to create, design and decorate homes and offices.  He then changed career and delivered seminars with his English wife, Josephine, throughout South Africa and internationally.

Roger’s love for good food saw his ‘casual coffee shop’ grow into a sought after destination for fine food in a fun atmosphere.  Roger and Josephine developed their home into an elegant guest house where many memorable times were spent hosting people from many countries.

Nothing was further from his mind than to live in the UK!

However, there was an opportunity to live in the very house that Josephine grew up in - so the opportunity was taken.  Nothing could have prepared them for the challenges and obstacles that faced them as they began living in the UK.  However, being the people that they are, they began to seek ways to meet and connect effectively in their new environment.

This really brought home the reality of the need of meaningful connectivity. Understanding that business is built through relationships had stood him in great standing when building his own businesses. Roger realised that the uniqueness of South Africans needed to be recognised and brought out to full potential so that others may be energised through it.  Thus ZEBRA was born!

It is a well known fact that South Africans do things differently - we are not just the beer drinking, braai-making, biltong chewing, rugby fanatics we are made out to be – there is much more depth and integrity in who are and how we operate - we do have an ethic and fundamental attitude that makes up a great part of who we are.

ZEBRA reflects these qualities and thus sets about to enable South Africans to achieve success in a way in which they identify with.

Because ZEBRA means business, connecting South Africans to business is key and Roger is committed, along with those that he works alongside, to see that this goal and ethic is carried out by members.
